American Electric performs every type of electric motor repair service from a minor repair to a complete rebuild and rewind of any type of A.C. or D.C. motor. We have a modern 15,000 Sq. Ft. repair shop equipped with 10 ton bridge cranes, a complete machine shop, and a full MIG & TIG equipped welding shop. We are able to balance, run and test up to 500 H.P. A.C. and 1000 H.P. D.C. motors. We also can repair and close loop test all types of servo motors. We operate our own fleet of trucks for pickup and delivery in Michigan, Northern Ohio, and Indiana.

We also repair lift truck motors, generators, welders, transformers, pumps, vertical pump motors, eddy current motors, motorized pulleys, magnetic chucks, and linear motors. Our repair services are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

American Electric Motor maintains an inventory of over 13,000 service ready, remanufactured electric motors of all types in our 42,000 sq. ft. warehouse. These motors are sold with a one year limited warranty at a greatly reduced cost, as compared to new, on an exchange basis.
